Hartley Insurance, Inc. has been a staple of Silverton, Oregon for 61 years. Richard Hartley started in the insurance industry in 1952. January 1st, 1961, Richard opened the doors of Hartley Insurance for the first time. In 1971, the business was moved from 215 E Main St Silverton, OR to the current address of 308 N 1st St, OR where we have been ever since!

Richard’s son, Doug Hartley, is the current owner of Hartley Insurance. Doug joined the business full time in 1978 and purchased the business in 1990. Hartley Insurance is an independent agency that serves personal, commercial, and agricultural needs. We enjoy serving the Willamette Valey and surrounding areas, especially Silverton.

Hartley Insurance has worked through the following disasters: The Columbus Day Storm of 1962, Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980, the Earthquake of 1993, the Flood of 1996, the Aumsville Tornado of 2010, September 11th 2001, the fires of 2020, the ice storm of 2021 and of course the recent pandemic. All of these (and many more) have impacted our local community, the way the insurance industry handles catastrophic claims, and how our office assists clients.
